There is nothing a cocker could put in to make a decent Plummer better, my mate trains lots of cockers, springers, pointers,gun dogs of all types and he regularly comes out for a day with me and is amazed how they smash through the cover, never miss a scent and some days catch more than the lurchers, I would say get out and see some decent ones work not the show type stuff that makes up 95% of Plummers, I work mine all over and I'm yet to see anything better, WM

There is a woman beater on our shoot has 3 cockers qnd they are relentless workers I've seen Russell work I've got a good one and I've seen plumbers bush and can say they don't beat a cocker out of working stuff jmo

Thanks for this post I was after a jrt to bush with my lurchers but the more I read and see these dogs work in in pics they certainly look a handy dog to have had a look about down here in kent they are rare a hens teeth
