Accuracy Of Hw100 177 Xhw100 .22

Recommended Posts

I haven't tryed them at 50mtres yet.i bought weirhachs own pellets as well and they seem to shoot alright too I've been drawing quarter inch circles on a sheet of paper I did notice I hadn't sighted the hw in for the air arms pellets I was shooting at 25mtrs and was aiming at the first circle and it put 3pellets through the next circle in the same hole. So a few clicks left and I was happy at 25mtrs would I be correct in thinking that the more expensive pcps are even more accurate as in the old day states.whats some of you guys opinions on the daystates are they even more accurate than the hw 100 s

.22 and .177 are both the same in accuracy wise ,get to know your set up and both will do the same as each other. .22 will give you more shots per fill than .177 about 84 in .22 and about 54 in .177

Mark is dead right ,a regged ultra will match any top price airgun pellet for pellet any day of the week

I recently bought a Hawke Airmax scope (the 4-16 x 50), and having used the Hawke Nite-Eye for quite some time, the difference was very marked indeed. I thought that the Nite-Eye was good (its the old

Iv literally just got one yesterday aswell!

Mine is the carbine in .22 and im not the best shot in the world but even im getting 2 pence size groupings at 50yrds

Im using aa fields 5.52's aswell and i agree they seem to be working well.

Try Falcon accuracy plus or jsb rs same pellet 13.4gr ,fantastic pellet in most HW100 ,or JSB express 14.3gr another great pellet

This is at 55 yards three pellets20141112_201527_zpsba8f79ed.jpg

Don't for get if it a new gun ,make sure you clean the barrel to remove all the grease HW put in them ,just put a pull through the barrel a few times

Try JSB Express 7.9gr , JSB heavies 10.3gr and AA fields 8.44gr all of these in 4.52 head size

My BSA ultra will match any top price airgun pellet for pellet and that only cost me £350 , ok I spent money on a reg and tune , but still cheaper than most regged PCP

,

Would not touch Daystates over rated over priced and know more accurate ether IMO

Ok cheers villaman I will try a different pellet and see how I get on with them and I will agree that the ultras are as accurate.

I had one about 6 months ago and it was easily as good accuracy wise as the HW.

Is your HW new , if so give the barrel a good clean with a pull through , even if its not still do it

That's good shooting bud if it's not too windy today all have to give them pellets a go at 50mtrs I also have the ultra se 177 out of the box I think the hw pips it but I have heard getting them reged does make a diferance.all have to take a few pics then suss out how to put them on here. Well shooting in a breeze does make a big difference to the groupings 4.52 seems to be the pellet her choice at thirty metres has any one done the 2oo metre target shoot yet here's me asking that an I ain't done the 50meter one yet. seems to be a lota clips with people doing it though.

Yeah it would be a nightmare trying to get tight groupings at 50m if there's a wind.

Theres no alot in it between the altra and Hw on accuracy but the quality in the Hw is a winner for me and makes the ultra feel like a toy.

Ye yer right there the ultra feels like a toy compared to the hw I've got mobility probs so most of my shootings off a bipod and sandbag but theres still a place for the ultra.ye the place I shoot the targets at the wind swirls one minute you can click a few clicks right then the next it goes to the left thats the nightmare but hae summers on its way and so's my pidgeon decoys.

Hi walker

Just found this topic very interesting I have a tx200 but looking to get a pcp was thinking of a

Ultra or aa400 any opinions on that. I see you are in Aberdeen have you had any dealings with

Aberdeen field sports shop ?

Yes collieman I bought my hw 100 t177 from them it actually had to go back to hull cartrige their after sales is the best I've dealed with the guy at hull cartridge looked at it on the Friday I got it back on the Saturday I was realy impressed with that kind of after sales service. I do have an ultra se in 177 so can't comment on the airarms. I'm disabled with mobility problems the ultra se is a very light well made accurate riffle their price doesn't do them justice as their a pretty accurate riffle for their price the guys on here are realy good and very helpful so im sure some one will be able to compare both guns you are thinking of some say the ultra with a reggulator is as accurate as the hw100 then again bud it depends what you want to do with the as the guys told me,when I first joined hl most of my shootings done off a table with a bipod and sand bag so the different weights of the rifles doesn't matter to me the ultra is a small very light rifle the hw100 at the other end of the scale my ultra puts pellets through a quarter inch circle at 30 metres the hw100 puts pellet on pellet at 25 metres it's not me it's the rifle as I'm blind as a bat hence I went for a hawke airmax 8-32 x50 scope the pellets I use are jsb exacts 4-52 and 4-53 airarms Diablo s 4-52 wiehrach f&t s if that's any help to ye bud. O and I've no connection to the dive centre bud they fill my bottles and are realy fine folk

They have a few pcps that you can hold and get a feel for the one ye like bud that's what I did as most will tell you to even try a few at a range the ultra se 177 gives you approximately 40 full power shots bud my hw100 t 177 gives me aproximately 110 full power shots and as the guys on here will say depends on what you want em for me I'm addicted to shooting at quarter inch circles to see how many I get a three or a five shot group through the same hole at 30mtres sadly not to many.
