right lads. been looking at various NVs and reading forums and watchin the roloids vids today. Decided to make a home brew NV. lookin to order the bits but I have a simple question. does the battery need multiple outputs, i.e. one for camera one for monitor or will the monitor be powered through the camera so battery only needs one feed out?

Might be a daft question to u guys in the know!

thanks

ry

Thanks bunny tickler but I aint on fbook pal. more hassle than its worth!

Big thanks to plummerterrior. Kindly gave me a 16mm lens he had spare, wouldnt even take anything for postage! Cheers fella, Its perfect! Ry

They will do for Rimmy no bother but I would pay extra for decent camera etc will pay for its self in the long run.

well I was going with the ej230 with a 12mm lense. best price I found was about 95quid delivered then after a bit of trawling the web I found what seemed to be the same camera for 20quid on slow boat from china. Im not holding my breath though so probs end up buyin the ej230 in a few weeks time. Im basically planning on copying the roloids 1.0 with everything mounted on a weaverrail so I can take it all off in one piece.

thats the plan but will see when it all arrives!

another one for the lads who have made their own NV.

Once you have your set up that you are happy with have you cut all cables down to length and rejointed to tidy them up or have you left at off the shelf length and just tied them up?

The £20 one will be junk. EJ 230 is good, I've just bought one for another build, but I'm trying scopeless this time. I'll try it with a monitor first but I have a near eye display to try as well.

Set it all up and try it then carefully shorten wires to suit. Dangly wires are a pain in the dark.

If you go on nv forum sure give an extra 10% discount to members.
