Anyone used something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BALL-LEAD-SINKER-MOULD-FISHING-WEIGHT-MOULDS-/330828892935#ebayphotohostinglisting ??

Seems cheap enough. Going to cast some lead ammo. Never done it before. Thinking size 1 (10mm sinkers weighing 8 grams) of these - just shy of £15.

Or should I save my money for something in a different calibre or a better quality mould?

Ive got one. Sound really but theres a fair bit of trimming to do. Remember to warm the mould before use, but dont let it get too hot otherwise you (I) got more flash than usual, which then needs trimming.. A couple of these are handy too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-x-6-HEAVY-DUTY-METAL-SPRING-CLAMPS-MARKET-STALL-TARPAULIN-TARP-CLIP-/270491378893?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3efa8ae4cd

Iv'e got one of those fishing moulds in size 1 mate, you have to put it in a vice to cast properly, and block the slots up with chemical weld, unless you don't mind trimming 3 times? Something like this is easier, and with a bit of practice you can cast balls quicker than with the fishing weight job, and no snipping with the sprue cutter

.36 is just over 9mm, next size up is .44, just over 11mm, well worth the bit extra imo.

I do scrap the shite off, regularly..

I did stick, to the kitchen ceiling, cooker, my mates shellsuit trackie top and my face. Strangely it didnt burn anything not even the trackie top, weird. Im sure it would have burnt my eyes had it got in there.

The skin on top is tin usually, it just keeps coming out of the lead no matter how much you scrape off, a mate uses one of these, pours from under the skin
