IanMcLean 0
Hi, I'm based in Northern Ireland, the Colerain area, and am very keen to start Wildfowling. I've been reading everything I can get my hands on for at least the last 6 months now and I have a one year old black lab who is doing a great job of retrieving dummies from the river Bann. All I need to do now is find a way to get access to some suitable Wildfowling areas and then apply for my Firearms Certificate. Does anyone know of any suitable areas or clubs ? I'm based near Colerain so the Lough Foyle area is only a short drive. I did contact the LFWA but apparently you wont be considered for membership unless you already have your Firearms Certificate, and without proof of access to land, I cant get that certificate. So stuck in a catch 22 situation at the moment. Any ideas, contacts or advice would be really appreciated. Ian.
