it,s been a dream of mine to go hog hunting in the USA for years, any uk folks done it?. Flights to Florida can be pretty cheap from UK but haven't got a clue where to start as there are so many outfitters, who do i trust? any info from our American cousins would be nice.

i havent talked to them in a while but i know a couple - man and wife team - that will sometimes take people out hunting hogs with dogs..

dont know if they charge for it or not. i havent had time to ask, but would love to tag along with them. they have some pretty wild stories to tell..

i have a magazine in front of me right now with a few adverts for guided hunts.. here are the websites..

even after all of that.. best bet is to make friends with a hog hunter in Florida. nearly every "good ole boy", red neck, and hick out here is obsessed with hunting hogs..

i live here and want to go hog hunting too, but at the moment its just not going to happen any time soon.. hope you have better luck than i have been having lol

What type of hunt are you looking for? Still/stand hunting. Firearm hunt. Archery hunt. Hunt with dogs (bay and shoot, catch and knife, catch and tie) I'll be with a group going to the Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress in Ireland this year.

You could fly back to the U.S. with us and we could take you hunting. The Congress will be in August.

Hi Guys

If your interested in the spread of Wild Boar in the UK this is a site worth visiting. www.britishwildboar.org.uk

Wild Boar in Britain to the first U.K. web-site devoted solely to the interests of free-living wild boar in Britain. After an absence of more than 300 years, wild boar are ...

http://www.britishwildboar.org.uk

If you are intending to shoot Boar then you should be aware that. It is illegal to hunt Boar in the UK with dogs. It is illegal to use anything less than a .270" as recommended by DEFRA. You need the police to add to your license for the purpose of shooting Wild Boar. Please visit http://www.defra.gov.uk/wildlife-countrysi...s/wild-boar.htm

Hope this has been of use Guys
