Squirrel Bait Station

Hi,

 

If anyone is thinking of starting a bait station for the winter squirrels or even now, I've found them to have a real love for plums. There's a plum tree outside my bedroom window and considering we haven't really seen many squirrels about since we shot quite a few at the start of spring there's been a huge amount on the tree, up to 4 at once! I've had 6 in the last 2 days on it, they can't get enough of plums.

 

Just a tip, use plums on your bait station = almost guaranteed luck

BASC website just answered that question. They're open game to shoot year round.

theirs a good few videos on youtube abloke has a bait station he gets some good results type in squirrel hunter tv realy good whatch atb aidy

Yeah RemyBolt they're on the general licence. And aidy yeah a lot of people use them them post the results on youtube especially in urban areas because they work so well! James Marchington is always using them for most of the uk pest species

Yeah me too, the thud as they hit the ground from a headshot out of a tree is strangely satisfying

fill with cheap cornflakes and a few peanuts. it works out much cheaper.

It's alright because we've got plum trees on our farm, so it's free and also a decent bait station which comes back every year
