04 Navara, just clocked up its 100,000 th mile, and apart from regular oil changes ( every 6k) its still on the original set of brake pads!!, a lot of motorway miles granted but thats still some going.

the only thing to go wrong was a gearbox mounting that came loose, took two minutes to fix.

sounds like the first bit of good luck i've had in ages, "my navaras fine"!!

Congrats! from what we heard one of the important things with the 04s is the service history, due to the fact that they hold 4 litres less then newer modles? dont know how true this is, but serveral on the nivara site said that it was a big issue.

May she run for another 100,000 ! :clapper:

mine clutch has worn a bit but it seems along way from going. the only thing that has gone on mine was the water jet pump and that was because of all the water this year the terminals rusted and broke. but the floods were good fun :clapper: .

just a one up for a nissan i did have to pull a land rover up hill when it was snowing :haha:

although it was a freelander :whistling: but still a land rover :boxing:

Ive done that stuff jasper... .. and ive also done a lot of comfortable miles up and down the country.. ..

Millet

I know mate . that Navara of yours has been up this neck of the woods without missing a beat on a couple of occasions towing that bloody great Caravan. your's still seems a bit more punchy than mine though mate! I did the filters and oil change on it the other month which seemed to make it run smoother, I havn't worked it out yet but it came managed 184Miles on £28, most of this driving is Urban and around the farms.

Just found this link I think some Navara owners will find amuseing :whistling:, ok alot of it is down to the driver but the Landy looks like something from world war 2 :D.....

Cheers

Stick with the Navara Tony, we could get together and set up a support group

Guess you dont have an 04 plated navara then!

Nope, just a 2002 D22, I have a defender at work and although great off road I think they are uncomfortable, specially for someone my size over 6ft and 16 stone. Plus I travel 80 odd miles to work and back every day and couldn't afford the chiropractor bills
