the previous toyota/landrover thread has got me wondering which marque of 4x4 people think is best so heres a poll ( ill try to cover as many makes as i can)

I voted land rover, toyota and mitsubishi... :D There all good these days, but these are the best, IMO :toast: :feck:

i voted land rover and mitsubishi, but i would of voted subaru aswell, if it was there.

TOYOTA BUILT TO LAST not like 90 etc i used to have a 90 it was ok on the farm and that was about it,everytime i went off roading it just breaks,no crash impact crush zones,uncomfy heaters are crap, :haha: yes just keep 90 to potter around a farm,if you want a good solid work horse buy i toyota :thumbs:

im going to have to disagree....sorry. my hilux has better clearance than all the landies my brother and friends had/have...when stock off coarse
heres a pic that shows my hilux and friends disco both sat on 31s and the disco had a couple of extra inches on the springs.....mines still got better clearance lol best proof i can find at the moment sorry

What do you mean by reliability IanB . http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/pub... . did the electric window switch go on one of them aftert 10.000 mile or did the 3rd sump nut come loose when driven over moderitly rough ground the list could go on as with all 4x4's OR road vehicle's..

for off road performance the Unimog has to be far superior on the list above, however i did'nt vote for it because there not really practical are they ?
another motor which is supposed to be one of the best 4x4's in the world is the mercedes G-wagen..

i have got to say nissan are better than land rove i have had both and spent 1 day a week fixing something on my landy but i do still love em
