.22-250 Ammo Prices

Yeh they weren't bad...not too amazing grouping wise but then it was a bugger trying to keep the rifle still at that range with a 3-12 at prone as I would've normally gone for higher magnification but then I had the feeling it took longer to cool down and after 30 rounds roughly it was cleaning time as the rounds felt as if they werent grouping as well as previous.

well mate reckons PPU are good so i have to agree with your last paragraph CC and also found federal , winchester and hornady are pretty good brands myself and never been a fan of remington...most of these are in hmr for me though.

just got back after my first session down the range at 100m point and quick 6 round try at the 200m point was enough to confirm my happy thoughts on my purchase though.

going out soon aswell at a closer indoor range as was abit rushed today but would like the opportunity for the rifle to cool down and take my time abit more just to add the finishing touches.

Depends on the rifle mate like everything some will suit some and not others when I lived on the west coast I was getting Remington bullets for £11.95 a box and they were very good out my rifle since then I've tried Norma, sako, hornady, winchester, federal and the only bullets I thought outdone the remingtons was the federals sako are about the same aswell. Fired a lot of Remington bullets out the 270 aswell think they were 110 grain they were a very good bullet aswell. I've often thought about getting someone to take my rifles and try a few different loads out them and load me 100 bullets up for each but don't know what the cost would be.

Oh yeah I do agree with you mate completely its just what I've experienced that's all...that being said I was glad to find the new semi auto specific ammo that RWS do in hi velocity for my 22lr.

Just through my experience grant_c there not as consistent through what I've used that's all....not to knock them it just must be what I use.
