I think spars likely catch more pigeons than pergrines, out walking one day and jumped out me skin sounded like a cricket bat hitting a bag o0f meat it was a spar hammering a passing pigeon, the sly fecker must of sat waiting for pigeon to leave branch and hammered him, took one look at me and dogs and off he wenmt, felt for um, they work hard n take massive risk on quarry like that maybe using last reserve of energy to make kill, like Paulus I find feather around all time denoting spars at work

weird how they do this and eat there crop full on the spot where the kill happened yet always take smaller prey to a plucking post. i always check the feathers to see if there plucked or chewed

There's a spar what feeds regularly by my kids school it feeds on the pigeons as the pigeons feed on the bird feeders what the kids put out....seen some good flights and 1 amazing kill..the speed and power what they hit there quarry with is unbelievable ....however I don't think I'd like to go out solely hunting for pigeons as I could damaging the telem would be out quiet a lot lol
