f**k me these thing's are hard work ..especially with a hypo dog in toe.. :icon_redface: .. here is the nest spot.. if i get time i may get mama and dada shot's.. :whistling: ..

its that time of year when birds are making their nests and laying eggs,iv been out just locally and found quite a few nest already and tbh not really looked that hard to some years so these are just

We had to change a pole over today. Inside the cable guard that was running up the side of pole was a Great Tit nest with 7 or 8 chicks. We tried our best to take the guard off as carefully as possibl

Aye, i've found mallards in some crazy places over the years. The thing with the females camouflage is that she seems to blend in no matter where she lays! I've found mallard nests a long way from any water, the duck must do well to lead her ducklings on a long march to the nearest water, but it's amazing how she knows where it is....

A great nesting spot and I hope none of he babies fall down the grates,.....

I have lots of trouble with Mallards nesting where I work. The parents don't seem to realise that the chicks will not be able to get out of bywashes and sumps along channels near reservoirs. I carry a landing net in my van, so I scoop them out and put them somewhere they can be safe. Normally in the reservoir! I've had one or two holes knocked through the odd lodge so they can get out as I can't be everywhere to help them.
