That is a top notch bit of wood work you have done there..and if you put half the effort into your bird's that you have put into that tidy set up you will have a good season..

had to have a second look mule,credit mate that is a real smart job,thinking of doing one myself,but might just go for easy option,8 x 4 square,not that good with a hammer/nails .

cheers francolin i use scews & buy abundle of slate latts some people call them roofing battons no excuse now :thumbs:

best sand i found was 'playpit' sand....a bit finer than builders sand and the birds love it.

B&Q/Homebase are doing the play pit sand on a special offer at some stores.

I'd have thought with the natural mineral content and all that that a clean beach sand would be a favourite with the birds,i haven't tried it myself as i don't live to near the seaside but would if i did,
