Hi Got a really cheap hw77-k (1987/8) which needed a good sorting out it was a rough as a bears backside pitting metalwork and run down stock.it shot but poorly.anyway I set about stripping it to fin

Now that looks stunning, congrats Twotwothree, you should be proud!   One question, did you sand down the stock between each coat of stain? If so did you use 0000 grade wire wool?   Phil

Love seeing rifles that someones restored properly, you can really see the time and effort thats gone in to them and a well done pice of woodwork makes the thing damm well stand out from the crowd too.

 

Keep us up to date and informed on any additional restoration projects, they make great reading.

Yes I would go for it.it only cost me for a spring and seals I made my spring guide and top hat. All in all About £40 in total to refurb it.did most of it at work so got paid for the privilege lol i paid £115 for the gun originally so now its back to factory except for my stock colour for £155,
