hi all was out shooting this morning and saw loads of geese took loads of shots but hit nothing no wind was using no 3 46g steel how much lead is the norm for a goose in flight also just bought a call any body know of a web site that can teach you the proper calls for goose and duck also sorry for the questions but whats the best way to get them is what works this is my first year to wildfowling so as green as it gets any help is very much appreciated :icon_redface:

hi riggers i use heavy shot for geese mate kills better than steel and other none toxic cartridges i know they cost the earth but its worth it. also most of my goose shooting is done on the foreshore and mainly at pinks so they are worth it good look

Hello you should have had some info in with the call if not maybe try BASC as they do course's & would help & open your eye's to it.Heavyshot is good advice especially on high geese & i would use No.2-1 & BB's for high bird's.If decoying or know they will be quite close then i work 36g No.3's.Lead depend's on person & hight/speed/distance of target.
