Terry, the reason the rabbits were throwing themselves at the 6z nets and bouncing off was that the lamps they were using were panicing the rabbits. I do not know if the night vision and lamps were us

Very interesting hearing everyone's opinion's, thoughts and experience's regarding black net's. With my personal experiences with the colour black I had a 40 yard spun nylon net which when it was us

Good intresting input fella's, nothing clever just good honest findings. long may it continue.   TC

Theses nets are for catching hares and on a bright night the hare can see them

Will these hares be released in a reserve?

Done a lot over here but always in daytime, driving them between flanks and through a hedge into maybe 200-600yds of nets Pre ban, a great way to spend a Sunday morning

I suppose I'm gifted being colour blind as a Black Net sticks out like a sore thumb to Me .. When I'm switching in on a set I don't like saying to Myself " F@k Me that nets visable" I like to feel the net with My Knee !..

There's better shades of net to use rather in Black . Maybe I'm Old Fashioned ! Who Knows .. that's what makes this netting game interesting .. The Old Boys who are sadly Netting Rabbits up in the Loft never ever used a Black Long Net :hmm:Maybe be a culture thing? Food for thought ?

Regards..
