Christened The Hw77K And New Scope Is On!

Recommended Posts

Ayup lads, after having some late night shenanigans trying to mount the scope on a mount that didn't fit today I went to the gunshop, and they had in stock just what I required, high 1 inch 2 piece sportsmatch UK mounts, to fit the 3-9x50 AO hawke sports hd to my almost brand new, highly neglected virgin rifle the hw77k .177

so got home and mounted the scope and had about 1 hour of light left. quick rush to the permission then :)

seen a few squirrels before I had chance to zero, hopefully bag them another day, and loads of pigeons everywhere!

got to 'the tree' and set the zero, this rifle was twangy as hell, but its not so bad now after a relube, could do with a bit of a polish internally, but that's a job for a rainy day lol.

shes good enough, and accurate  had her on the chrono doing 11.1 with ftt 4.50 .. only had about 300 total shots fired so far so il have to check again when shes bedded in.

anyways, usual scenario - 3 shots with the FTT at 34 yards in a breeze .. :toast: not bad for an unturned rifle, and after I haven't shot for a few weeks! still got it :boogy::laugh:

so went for a mooch, and it was near enough dark when I saw a few pigeon silhouettes , taking one with a neck shot before the rest buggered off! about 28 yards standing unsupported ;)

so the blood has been spilled and my plinker rifle is no longer a virgin.. see what happens with those squirrels tomoro? :whistling:

heres some softcore airgun porn, not top of the range gear wise, and not the most expensive, but its gear that will di the job well enough if your on a budget.

Sweet Skot bud ;)

Had one of them and were spot on, Never had a tuned Rifle in My life so can't comment on them.

Just zeroed the "Ol Boy" Sirrocco 1985 last Saturday out to 55 yards which was 4.5 mil-dots down in .22 cal with JSB Jumbo's at 15.89 gr,

Not bad Compared to the TTR 1 Beasty's 8 mil-dot drop at same distance

But a Maggie developed a sore chest thanks to the 'Ol Boy", Fitted with a second hand vortex Mod.

And My new portable seat did the job of keeping my arse dry as well !!!!!!

Cheers lads. shes a pretty nice rifle.

Daz whats the kick like on that rifle mate, is it a gasram.? does it still recoil pretty bad tho?

them skinny little mounts don't look right sturdy!

good shot on magpie

Can't really say the recoil is to bad for Me, A fast thump in the shoulder and the pellets away,

just differen't from a springer, Probably the nearest recoil to a powder burner out of all Air Rifles.

My thoughts are if You can handle a standard Gasram and untuned springer You can shoot any Air Rifle

without having to have it tuned and become a more Proficient Marksman who can shoot anything.

And them mounts are built into the rifle so pretty sturdy, but can only go for 40mm scopes

Well as you can see I can shoot my unturned springers pretty well if I do say so myself.. :icon_redface:

the SFS tuned 98 is so easy to shoot as is the hw100, they almost shoot themselves! lol

hw100kt definitely has auto aim, as that bunny just found out about an hour ago :whistling:

great sense of achievement tho shooting a springer well its very rewarding :D
