i've had 7 or 8 landies, 2 which i totally rebuilt from scratch up.

to say that you can abuse a standard landy off road without damage is just wishful thinking. although i think a lot of peoples idea of "abusing offroad" falls way short of what i mean.

ashcroft makes a good living selling uprated parts to cope with strains of off roading. from half shafts to transfer boxs

I have owned 50 plus defenders ,20 or so series .., 1 freelander LOL.., You either like them or hate them.

But i think they have a higher following than  any other 4x4

i got a 2001 td5 90 pick up for 4400, its not as comfortable as my old l200 but its a shed load cooler :thumbs:

Yep. Be a shed load cooler when you start to find oil in the wiring loom to the ecu and she starts to misfire, or the fuel pump fails......I had over £7000s worth or repair receipts come with my TD5, before I dumped another grand at it...Never again
