Ferreting elitist  :icon_eek: since when? and neither is falconry, if you look for something hard enough you will find it, the easiest way to get into falconry is join a hawking club, it is not hard.

I thought the same, its not that hard to get into because theres so many in the sport, maybe for those that think everbody else does it wrong and only them should be allowed to fly birds, but thats only because no f****r else wants to hang around with a smart arse lol

That's up to you but if many beginners got off their arse and hanged around with a smart arse they might learn something. In America you have a 3 year apprenticeship with tests often , inspections the lot . 90% of falconers would not pass the first year because their ego would stop them from hanging around a smart arse.

Wasnt aimed at you mate, ive always said it should be like it is in america over here. Problem is many beginners get put off when they join forums like the iff and see all the unwelcoming comments made by those who forgot they were ever a begginer themselves, you should be brutaly honest with them, but some people take it too far

Never been before, got a lurcher 2yrs and pup. Live in west berks but down in ascot all time. Let me know if you are inferested in showing someone the ropes.
