stroller 341 Posted September 8, 2013 Report Share Posted September 8, 2013 My first day on the moor this year was the 27th due to a knee op on the 13th (Our first day was the 19th).I was up at 1.30am couldn't sleep I would do it for nowt I love it that much great crack with a good squad of people of all ages from 14 to 75. My old dog loves it more than me he is like a puppy jumping about as soon as the walking stick comes out. My son beats in the line and I work on the flank, this year my young viszla joined me on the low moor on the 28th and he was really steady I was delighted we have done a few days since and have a few more to do. We have had an invite for the young dog to hunt up on a walked up day which I am very excited about and as usual we will have our keepers day which is awesome as I cannot shoot worth shit when it comes to these brown bullets (And f***ing pigeons see previous post) but it is the ultimate driven shoot experience in my books. I think its about 18k a day for 8 guns on our moor but icould be wrong anyway the usual tally is 150 brace and at £150 a brace that works out at over 22K Quote Link to post Share on other sites

But like you say, most of the time is fecking about. Anyway, I agree with you, 800 brace between 2 guns sounds a bit much. 800 brace between a full team maybe... I'm sure there are folks that have the cash for it but how many estates could and for that matter would provide that? I think I'd be bored stiff after having shot 100....
