I started mine at 6 months, but they weren't worked hard. just take it easy with the young ones. let them have a bit of fun and they'll graft in their own time. doesn't take long for the penny to drop :thumbs:

 

as for growing im not 100% sure when a ferret stops growing. someone else will enlighten you im sure.

I started mine the first season so about 6 months but they have the instinct to work rabbit so you can start them quite early. Most concentrate more on bonding with them and letting them play in tubes/pipes to get them used to it when their young. It usually helps for them to work with an experienced ferret, they pick it up quicker. Growing wise I'm pretty sure it's about 20 weeks to be fully grown but not 100% sure. ATB Dan

Tom I would start working them from around 6 months, but if this does not go well don't dis-pare they may take a little while till they get the drift. As for when they stop growing this sort of coincides with when they are ready to work.
