neems 2,406
What are the advantages of each? I've never seen a hound or hound x working cover, but seen a couple of spaniels which were better than any terrier I've seen. 1 Quote Link to post
R.A.W 1,987
I find spaniel hard to read while they work tight cover the ones i've seen have one gear my lurchers find it difficult to anticipate a bolt . Terriers pick up the pace when close to game and even open. It's a great feeling when they start to move Hounds let the whole world know that there's something about. you've got to love the that music 1 Quote Link to post
Mick C. 229
A spanial will bush anywhere because its like a machine . A terrier will bush when there is sufficient scent about to arouse him. Personally i like a dog that gives me some insight as to whats going on around me when hunting Quote Link to post
