FOOK ME SOCKS IS NO ONE ALOUD TO SAY ANYTHING SO FOOK IF U KENNEL UR DOGS AND KIDS TOGETHER

You can say what you want fella but if you can't train and socialise your dogs to live happily amongst kids then perhaps you need to keep a different animal .......

Some of the lurcher breeds about now, also some of the terriers with the infusions added,id be careful with around kids.My own dogs are let out of the runs by the kids and grandkids, they can play with them, feed them by hand and apart from one terrier, greedy fecker, can eat undisturbed in their company, its knowing your dogs temperament and having them socialised and trained and training the kids as well, ive only had one terrier that the grandkids were not allowed access to,he was moved on because of his nature.

each and every one works they have there own kennels but are in the house 95% of the time id trust them all 110% with kids or they wouldn't have made it to the age they are Dogs need socializing . You have to have a bond with your dog to get the best out of him/her there not just tools you take out when you feel you want to or to swap and change on a whim for a bmx bike because its summer time

So any other dog apart from a springer or lab is not safe around children after they are pups .... What a load of bollox .........

from what i remember labs are one of the breeds statistically most likely to attack a person. the lads a nugget.

Down to sheer volume of lab owners I'd say....I've yer to see a lab with a nasty streak towards people.

Personally i dont think any dog can be thrusted 100%.Just like humans they can all loose the run of themselves for that split second and thats all it takes especially with kids

Ill bet you've thrusted a few dogs mate!!! Lol

I wouldn't like to think I was walking about the fields or at shows with my kids where irresponsible dog owners are, knowing full well there dogs are unsocialised and untrusting around kids

Thanks for the replys everybody. the reason i'm asking is because i'm thinking of getting a terrier as i only go out with friends terriers just now but i maybe getting my own house so until i build kennels it would have to be in the house. All lurchers get in the house for about an hour every night to get socalised with my little brother and sister annoying them and that lol but wasn't sure how a terrier would be. Also would it effect it working wise as i have heard it makes them soft.
