Is the action silvered or has the colour hardening faded? Still a nice gun.

I'm not sure whether the action is silvered or colour hardened, how can I tell? (I think it might just be a slightly dodgy photo as the action looks good in person).

 

The blueing on the barrels has faded a little where they meet the action and at the muzzle (as expected in a used gun of this age), but there's no rust and the barrels are nice and clean.

If the action was colour hardened and had faded there more than likely be traces o fit on the flats of the action when the gun was broken/disassembled,its only cosmetic anyway ,these were very well built guns back in the day.
