Thats the kind of info I wanted and the reason I went for the maxus.

 

Ive stripped them both sx3 and maxus and the maxus is a very similar gun and the same breed so I should be ok.

 

What cartridge do you mainly use?

youll get a armsan a612 for around 500 there a good gun I've been shooting clay's every other week non stop have had no bother yet, you also get 3 years warranty,, somebody put up a post here few weeks back about escorts jamming maybe somebody ill put it back up on this, for you to see lol

for pigeons i only ever use rc tittano. i've used other loads and makes and it cycles every time

I went out last night for the first time with my new browning maxus for a bit of roost shooting in the snow.

 

I thought the woodies would be heading for a fur wood I know and sure enough they were.

 

Anyhow I shot my first few rounds into a snow covered muck heap to check the pattern and at 30 yrd it looked good pretty flat shooting as I had already added the two spacers provided.

 

Anyhow I had a decent hour before dark and the gun shot flawlessly I only took a box of cartridges no 6s and it spat then all out perfectly up to now Im impressed, Im glad I picked the 26" barrels as I wouldn't want anything longer its a lightweight gun which makes easy carrying, and it handles like a 20 bore but recoil is only like a rimfire.

I was told that, and I was actually going to look at a secondhand extrema 2 in cammo until was told the small issue of the barrel being ovalled so you could hardly get the chokes in and out it had probably swelled due to big loads and too tight choke..

 

So I was a no brainer I got the cammo browning maxus brand new for the same money and it was lighter more adjustable better cammo finish and softer shooting, and has a five year guarante.

 

Im not knocking the berettas as Im a beretta man, I love em and I would have bought the new extrema 2 in cammo had I have had a spare £1700 but I have recently spend £2.5k on a Beretta OU hence the reason I wanted a semi as to not mark up my OU.

i have just put a deposit on a brand new super x3 28" barrel in extreem camo awsome looking gun,from cheshire gun room the total price was £845, had some really great reveiws and apparently the fastest semi auto on the planet fireing 12 rounds in just 1.442 seconds but the 3 shot will be good enough for any rough shooter, think about saving the extra up pal i have been told u wont be dissapointed regards mal

Not in Camo but I have a franchi hunter which is fast as feck and shoots all day ( pigeon express no 6 and the big bag of mixed stuff I am still using up!!!)

My Browning jammed a few times the other day using 6s it was easily sorted but Im pretty fu*ked off scene as it was over £1000

 

It is being fed 70mm 6s like the gunshop told me to feed it on and it still failed to eject today twice, Its under warrenty but the shop is 2 hour away.

 

But Im hoping it is down to the gun being new its just coming up to 180 cartridges old, Ive stripped and cleaned it every time Ive taken it out and lubed it accordingly It is going back if it does it again.

 

After it jammed It shot another 30 or so cartridges ok afterwards but its on my mind now.

 

Maybe I should have got another beretta afterall

They all jam some time mate, some more than others. I haqve a Xplor 400 light and that has never jamed, but it did break off an extractor claw after 250 shells. It was fixed by Beretta but it took em five weeks. I have Teknys AL 391 with 30" barrel and extended chokes years old but super reliable not really a field gun though and heavy. Just keep feeding yours 32g shells it helps. Good luck

As they say cry once for the right equiptment, it may cost but saves a lot of headache in the long run, for me It has to be Italian thoroughbred,Baretta, Franchi, or of push comes to shove the yanks know there stuff , Remington ,Browning or as said Baikal. Personally forget the rest or cry many times !
