Do you boys rate the basket as opposed to traditional?........not used a longnet for ages but always found the traditional very easy and the baskets look much more cumbersome

There you go mate, hope this helps. Baskets look good, how wide are the slots mate, i use a bit of 12mm bar as a gauge when tacking up, that is for 10mm poles.

They might sell you a few and postage would be ok, you can only ask.

Thanks for that LC - my order is in! I will need to make a few more baskets - just ordered a production run of sheet netting to make some 200 metre (100 effectively) models. Any Aussies on here looking for a quicket net send me a message I have a few spares.

As for the baskets ? Once I have a design I am totally happy with i'll make up a jig. Do you make them all from scrtach or do you have a jig?

Dont use a jig as i dont make enough and was always changing things (i have just made a mid sise basket for a 50yd net). I have the plan view marked onto a piece of sheet metal, to keep everything right tacking up. If i was making to sell i would jig up and make up the parts in batches. The longest job is tying the bag on, you could do it a faster way but as they are for myself i do the best job i can, If you need any info mate just pm me.
