Spun polyester twine

Recommended Posts

I've knitted three longnets now of varying twine sizes, i'v done a 20/18 a 20/15 and a double stranded 20/9.

I think the best one was the 20/15, it weighed around about 1.2Kilo for a fifty yard net with 100% bagging.

The 20/18 was fairly heavy, weighing at just under 2kilos for a fifty yarder, although nice to work with, it got heavy on the wrists.

I was thinking of knitting a single stranded 20/12 net with 20/15 or selvedge meshes, obviously this will keep the net a wee bit lighter. Do you think the twine is strong enough for single stranded use?
