had a walk on some local land earlier armed with my camera , weather was very misty so pictures not very good , spotted a small herd of red deer , 3 stags and 9 hinds . As you can see the young stags are very dark underneath , on the way back to motor i noticed this muddy puddle with well trodden track leading to it , im assuming this is where they have been wallowing ?? is it normal for the older stag to tolerate the younger ones at this time of year ? the largest 1 with 5 points was bellowing then the 2 younger ones where just sort of tagging along .

Not the best pictures due to range and weather .
