So Sika are easier than CWD? Speed wise or fight wise?

Anyone know the answer?

i've never run sika with dogs but used to handle a lot when i worked with park deer and they will fight for sure, even the does will try to bite you once you get them caught up! i ran a lot of CWD with dogs and i never saw one that had any kind of fight in it, used to squeak and wriggle a bit, but most of them just lay down and waited to die. so i guess folks who say that sika are easiest are talking speedwise, because some of those CWD run like they've got a rocket up their arse

I've never run Sika either but have CWD. I'm surprised that people say that Sika are the easiest. A CWD will fall to the floor when the dog breathes on it and the worst I've seen them do is kick out but in truth it was more like an involuntary response than a deliberate defensive measure. With regards to their speed, a fast dog will overhaul them quickly, their skill lies in their ability to turn. I would've thought that a Sika could reach similar speeds to Fallow or Red, given their size.

CWD can make plodders and slower dogs look poor but a seasoned lurcher that new its game could take them without much fuss, they were starting to evolve and become a little harder in places where they were regular ran.
