Things are moving quickly guys , I'm selling out before they are made . Orders coming out my ears !

I parted with a small fortune on handle materials last week . I would say all in materials cost over £500 last week alone ..... Lots of pressure !!!!!

I have a few more designs I'm more than happy with including my friction folder .

That little shit stands me at a £2,500 investment of time , computer aided design ( that was a waist as that design was scrapped) labour and materials , and all I have to show it a working model made of ply and ally !!!

But ....... The model is a winner . I have parts coming from all over the world to make the first sharp usable prototype . After that it's off to cad then quoting . I'm not looking forward to that bit . A normal knife with just the 4 main components is expensive , so this folding knife with its 8 components is going to be very stressful !!

I have at this stage with the original designs maybe all together 13 -15 designs I want to move into laser cut blanks again, so pretty varied catalogue .

I'm building a new gas forge (yep again) ready to offer most of those designs in Damascus as special order , I'm saving for a 16 ton hydronic press to help me forge all the steels together too ..

 

So the future looks like that really . A subtle change to the name , fieldcrafter ..... England rather than fieldcrafter-uk . The products will just have "fieldcrafter" or possible just a logo engraved or embossed on them .

Im planning maybe two options for finissed knives . Standard, as the working field model ,just 4 components clean lines realistic and practical Finnish to the steel/handle/sheath then the "reserve" options of Damascus or high end stainless with file work liners , tooled leather and harder to come by handle materials .

Brave new world eh ??

5 of my nordic styld knives , i dont know why they are still here ?

anyway they are all sgeathed now and selling at a reduced price of £65 each and £5 first class recorded delivery to uk.

 

all in 3mm o1 tool steel , with scandi grinds , wenge african hard wood handles and ally fittings , the smaller one has linen micarta a brass fittings .

blade lengths are , 6cm on the small one and 9cm on the larger . all have tooled leather sheaths that have been dyed with an air brush two ton effect , made from 3.5mm leather , one with brass hoop as a dangler sheath .

 

 

 

 

 

 

they will never be this cheap again , i would rather go on benifits than work this hard for so little , grab them while they are here ...

Ps I kept the green/black g10 , it's an incredibly nice knife . Me and Finn tested it hard the other week we shot it 3 times with a 12 bore at 10 yards , very little damage at all . We videoed it to . I just don't fancy trying to upload it all today ha ha

That blade would be my favourite of all the knives you've done even prefer it to the one you did for me lol

I love it brew man , Iv sold a good few like it now to , all have been fancier with brass tubes and liners , file work and black inlay .

If I had a choice driven purely by my own taste I would get 100 laser cut tomorrow !!

It comes in 3 sizes that being the largest .
