The question re the greyhound was caught between 2 posts. I did not actually reply on the forum but pm him when I had the info to hand

If you have the information to hand and it confirms what you said about the dog,why would you not make it public here? Surely it would help the sale of the pups?

 

when i am on my mobile, on the mobile app. i can not quote people so to ensure the corrct person has seen the info its easier to click on there name and Pm it. i have no reason to hide what the grand sire of the pups are

So you have just won a normal show there you go not a top show at all and when did win Pickering change your add its fauls mate stop trying to be a top lurcher breeder when your not

 

im sorry but i see most game fairs as top shows, not local pub car park shows?! she has competed at selby, chatsworth, etc.

 

since when is someone that has 2 lurchers , and bred 2 littlers in 6 years trying to portray as a "top lurcher" breeder?!

 

im mearly proud of my dogs, and what i do and how i care for them - unlike a lot of people on this site. so why should i not be happy and pleased that i love and care for my dogs in the best way possible???

 

anyway whats a name like "urban hunter" when you seem more bothered about showing ?!

thats a very bold and sweeping statement, and one most of the dog lads on here will take offense at are you trying to sell pups or stirr up a hornets nest

 

im afraid my advert seems to have upset enough people to start with.

 

but the "dog lads" that do take good care of there dogs wouldnt take offense cos they are doing no wrong anyway ! ive already read dozens of posts on here that someone sold a dog to someone else and that person sold it cos they didnt want that particular breed anymore, or it didnt catch enough etc etc, and that pisses that orignial person off. so im sure plenty of people would agree that somepeople dont carefor animals the way someone else would. whats the harm in saying that???!

If I may make so bold and try to explain why your initial post might have ruffled a few feathers.............the words TOP CLASS don't mean a thing to most people. Especially when we're discussing working dogs. Anyone can label their dog as 'top class', but those words are seldom backed up by hard facts, especially in the field. Making such a bold statement is bound to incite a fair bit of scepticism. Don't forget, those who work their lurchers are not interested in whether or not the dog has won shows, or if it has unintentionally pulled down some animal whilst out on a walk.

 

There is a good deal of inverted snobbery on forums like this ... working dogs are seen to have much more value than show winners or racing winners, and quite rightly so as this is supposed to be a hunting forum.

I think it's great that you are so enthusiastic about your dogs, and I wish you well with them in the future, but I do wonder if your sales pitch and enthusiasm is misplaced on this particular forum.

Oh, and by the way, I am a woman, so I'm not just having a go from a macho stand point: just trying to explain why your advert has been met with such a lot of negativity.

And of course, this is the internet, where everyone has an opinion to shout out loud, and anyone trying to sell pups who is not a regular contributor to the forum is bound to run the gauntlet. I've been slated more times than I can remember: water under the bridge etc etc, but forums are life in a goldfish bowl, and everyone who dares post is fair game for the doubters: and there's plenty of them about, some legitimately so, because so many litters are bred from unproven dogs by idiots. You only have to look at the huge numbers of lurchers being bred every year to understand why there is so much cynicism.

TBH i forgot what this forum was like, and thought people would apprechiate a nice dog. unfortunatly for me this time, when i like something i can type all day about it (ie - my lovely poochies) and ive been shot in the foot.

dont slag other hunters off just to sell your pups i have pups but they wont be running after a bit of rag my dogs do for me i dont need trophies dont need to prove to anyone what they can do so u should say a big sorry to the lads on here because there r some good lads on here and some very good dog men

ive just cleared stated that in all walks off life some people will have a different variation that they will care for animals different to others - ive already been reading on the ferret parts that some people work there ferrets and they have a nice pen, food water and get worked a few times a wek, and others give them a whole shed with 100's of toys. thats a variation for how some one looks after there pet or what ever you wish to call them. i have stated that my dogs are very well looked after and probably better looked after than a few peoples on here - i havnt said those people are neglecting there pets, but maybe they are not as soft as i am?! . but i wouldnt take offence if people said i was too soft cos i have a cuddle in bed with my dogs? lol

I admit the use of the word "ALOT" of people was probably the wronf one, but no one can denythat they would let every single person on here look after there does. if they do they are lying.

this thread for my puppy adverts has stirred people up, but the people that are interested have PM me, these to me and people that are interested not just being nosey. They have had photos, of the bitch winning, at shows, and out working, along with the sire out working in the field. this is why i now have 1 pup left

 

she has won at selby, thorsby, pickering, tabley, burghley just to mention a few

 

 

The grand sire of the pups is " Spare the Air" (droopys scholes, top honcho, let slip, im slippy lines ) i work from several computers, andwith rememerbing 20 horses breedlines (which is my main hobby) Im not into greyhound breeding so didnt reply asap til i was sure i was sending the right dog, which to the people that asked i PM or viceversa.

 

you may well say ive dug a hole - but why shall i ask?? because i havent replied to the whole forum ASAP and delt with interested people via PM. and every person who has purchased a pup has said that its nice to see someone so enthustastic about there litter, and that they too were worried about breeding and the pups going into the wrong hands as i mentioned. I have standards and will keep to it. (by the way that bit wasnt aimed at you x)
