.243Win 105gn A-Max for fox???

Recommended Posts

I've heard and read about a lot of people using .243Win 105gn A-Max's for hunting. In the US they use them on deer, fox & coyotes.

Anyone had any experience of this, particularly on foxes?

I'm personally thinking that 105gn of not too deformable lead as being not too suitable - as it may pass straight through a fox :( - however I am up for being dis-proved (as being able to buy them cheap over the phone on mail order does have it's advantages!!) :thumbs-up:

Hello Oly this will be a good thread as these are match round's & i guess not legal on deer/vermin under the condition's of you FAC.I have used them in 22.250 & they do expand but they are a soft match round & not classed as expanding i think  .I would think again that you would need a 1-9 twist for these bullet's but nothing ventured nothing gained.Im sure someone will know better than me on this but let's see role on the debait. :hmm:

well, lads

these bullets will not stabilize in a 1 in 10 twist or slower so you will be waisting your time and money,

1 in 9 or quicker i afraid to tell you...... they will shoot but they will tumble in flight, in a .243 with 1 in 10 twist.
