Only had it once (just to try it) we stuck it under the grill. It was fairly tough  and you don't get much meat on just one. Was a fairly strong taste a bit like rabbit in a way. If I were to try it again I'd stick a coulpe in a casserole.

Had a look at the site, didn't know squirrels came in so many colours....

Eating Squirrels you might end up like this :good:

It's huge down there (in the USA), not so big here.

They use a breed (many of them actually) called curs, which messes me up when you guys talk about curs 'cause we would call your curs "culls"

you want to see a good one swansea go to

www.gutpilestyle.com

that's where I got the recipe everyone is dying to try

A lot of us eat squirrel in the States. In fact I like it better than rabbit. The meat has a more spicy taste than rabbit. It is better if boiled first and then rolled in flour and fried. By boiling it first it tenderizes the meat. I have even ate it deep fried and it was good that way also. Like anything else, it is what you get used to while growing up. Some of us eat snapping turtle also. I don't know if you do or not. Maybe you don't even have them over there, I don't know. Dan
