lifelong cumbrian 1,789 Posted August 2, 2012 Report Share Posted August 2, 2012 When i fasten the laundry bag to the basket i cut it to the required lenght, usually around 20". I then attach it to the rim by knotting each mesh with a 2 turn nail knot, so each mesh is individually tied so you can attach it under controll and it should never come off. SCRAMBLE I dont sell them mate, i just make them for myself and friends. If anyone is interested in getting a basket like mine i could put the sizes on here as i kept a few sketches and a note of sizes, any sheetmetal work shop could knock one up. They could be mild steel painted, i made my first ones from 8mm mild steel black bar but prefer the 6mm stainless for lightness and no painting. I TIG weld them up as it is a much more tidy job. 304 stainless round bar is not that expensive and i use a bit of 1mm sheet for the band. Quote Link to post

Dont know if people are aware of it but when you buy steel the price fluctuates all the time a bit like share dealing.
