The dogs in pain when opening it's mouth which would tell me it's a bone/ muscle injury to the jaw. Why have you got her on antibiotics? Could do more harm than good. Catcher 1 639 Posted July 15, 2012 Report Share Posted July 15, 2012 Ok so I've been out on the garden with my dog I was kicking a tennis ball about my dog tryed pick it up and let off a yalp?? I then tryed to open her mouth and she yelped again?? She seems ok in her self and there's no swelling to the outside off her face. Any advise would be great. Should I take her the vets? 15-love. She's at the vets with my wife now I'll let you know what the vet says today. I think its something to do with her jaw personaly. She's now been put on something called carprofen tablets 50mg twice a day. She's got go back Thursday to see how she is. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Millet 4,497 Posted July 15, 2012 Report Share Posted July 15, 2012 I would go to a different vet's Mike she may well of fractured her jaw..that vet should of Xrayed the dog to get a propper diagnosis instead of ripping you of with anti inflammatories and antibiotic's.. U plank Your the one sat on here saying your dogs fcuked it's mouth, I don't know what to do etc. Then she's got antibiotics and that's all you said. I would be right in what I said in that case!
