bloody hell that looks great !!!

Cheers Matt going to set about getting it finished today with lots of sanding and polishing, has turned out better than I expected and now I dont want to use it :laugh: :laugh:

Thanks matt too late on the filling already done but I used a black epoxy putty thought it would be easier to handle being as Im a beginner . As for scales I was gonna use some ivory linen micarta bu

its your sunday best knife !! you need to be very proud of it , it is superb !!

Looks great and really professional! But why do you guys make your own blades, it seems easier to just buy one rather than find the right piece of steel and file it to perfection hmmm

probablly because you would get more pleasure out of using a knife you have made your self than one bought in :thumbs:

Just a question as I am having this problem .. The saw blade was rusting will you blade rust if not how did you fix this ???

The chances are that yes if just left and not looked after it would rust, but that isnt going to happen ;)

keep the blade with a thin layer of oil on it then it wont rust at all oh ye and in a nice sheath :whistling:

cilicone spray is wonderful stuff for carbon or non stainles , protects the handle material to and dont penatraight like oil , gun shops have it !!

look superb , and all the credit goes to you ade !!

Thankyou Matt, started the one I showed you, just needs the scales now, then its on to proper steel, so Ill be taking you up on your kind offer for heat treating and tempering. Ill stick a pic up when Ive finished this one
