Ive only caught a couple of dozen ferrets/polecats in twenty five years of trapping so they arent very commen!!!!!

Well I must be super lucky because one of my first catches in my fenns was a polecat ferret. I assume it was a ferret and not a wildy as I'm not aware of there being any wild ones in my area.

There was only 1 bloke that could have competed with woodga around here and he stopped snaring & trapping 4 years ago. ( You know who I mean woodga )

Have just joined the site, this is an old thread so how did it all pan out ? The only Scot I know that is any good with wires is Glen Waters, and I have used his method for about twelve months. Is woodga's a better or equivalent method, I am not having a dig here I just want to know !!
