Slat mills for running dogs.

Hi,

Anyone used them for running dogs? Wanted one to give the dogs a few more miles or to get dogs back to fitness.

Want to try something on top of the free running the dogs do.

 

Anyone know someone who has one gathering dust?

I was looking up carpet mills just the other week after seeing one on another site , think they'd be easy enough to knock up ,

We had a carpet mill, but none of our dogs really got on with it. We were constantly having to help the dogs move the carpet as it is quite high friction. We got a slat mill to replace the carpet mill and all our dogs use it without problem. The slat mill we have is not really long enough for my Saluki lurcher, though.

this is my treadmill i can control the speed on this one make it pitch to as though the dog is running up hill. not a verry good pic of it but only one i have

Gafer, is that a purpose built treadmill for dogs ? or one thats been converted.what speed does it run at ?.

purpose built for the dogs go on ebay they are there called dog joger

i know nothing of treadmills but is it not just as easy to box off an old one from a gym and use that?

Alot of people do that Jamo, will be doing it myself if I can't find the right mill.
