my siberian goldie was like that last week mate but he wasnt eating and i honestly didnt see him making it through the night,so i mixed up a bit of hand rearing food and put some baytril in it an give

http://www.birdcareco.com/English/TheBirdCareCompany/index   Don't feed too much Niger mate as the buggers will favour that instead of eating the other and they don't get all the nutrients they need

get some chickweed for it,ya cant beat it for birds that are feeling a bit ropey, theres a saying about it,but im fecked if i can remember it,and theres still shitloads o dandelions about

They should cost around the same any time of year, the next one you get give at least 2x per week acidification in the water I use voir or eviroklenz u can you organic apple cider vinegar this will help keep nasty from attaching to the birds gut and also help keep them in good condition

Get a goldie after the moult,in fact i'd only buy any this years birds after the moult as not all make it through and not worth the risk imo.

any breeder worth his salt wouldnt contemplate selling one before the moult

I have many bird friends in belgium, Holland, Germany and Italy many are world champions on the continent quite a few of them sell the birds in young feather I have bought redpoll and chaffinch this way from breeders just to make sure i have them, I even know a dealer over here who has bought siberian goldfinchs and mounted them out, me personally I wouldn't as they are a stronger bird after the moult
