i said a few weeks ago that i had bred my whippet bitch in september and struggled to sell them for 300 and 350 per bitch , i endedup letting them go for 150 a dog and 200 a bitch which i believe is a justified price, i too went to a dog that was RUMOURED to be one of the best dogs in liverpool although the mother in which i used is good but not perfect (she does me) the stud came from a long line of trusted men whom put me onto the dog ,the man who actually put me onto this dog actually new mike brown well and said that he believed the stud that i had used was better than the famous glen "strike while the irons cold" he had been out with both dogs over the years??, but getting back to it i truthfully dont believe that you have sold any of these pups especially at the price , i am not here to judge you fair play if you have got 600 but i dont believe this statement and believe you still have them all?

not only that there a week old alot can happen yet !! they have more than a year or two to make anything yet !!
what will you do if they dont make the grade ? refund ...
i was told and i beleave this to be true that working dogs as pups are not worth alot of money because even the very best animals in the world are unlikly to produce carbon copies of them selfs (pitbulls greyhounds etc , very line bred from the best people can get there hands on ) the asking price is lower so that if they dont make the grade you have not lost everything and could source another .
i dont think workers are £600 each either i think kc show stock is that price ...
i really like blues and would happily own them again , but from died in the wool grafters that are out there and well proven for the £350 mark .
il be honest i genuinly cant afford £600 for one and if i could there is as fine animals at alot less , im not gelouse of you in any way . but i am worried that your making your self a target for abuse and with you beeing so pleased with your self to , whats that about ?
mate you should breed all your 19 dogs if it pleases you so much , i promise some will come home with unhappy owners one day , so dont go spending all that money will you !!

I must be weird then http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/pub... When i bought Boo, all his littermates were blues, i have never really thought of them as a nice colour to own much prefer the parti colours, and originally picked him (in my head) from a photo. But then again he was the pup who stood out as the most laid back & bold confirming my decision. He is also much heavier built than his parents who were both blue, now i know why regarding blues having poor bones...never knew that?

Ive never heard that......

It's mentioned earlier in the thread http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/pub...
Ya i see that but apart from hearing it on hear ive never ever heard that any where else, i wonder if the people who said that breed they bay colour dog with a bay colour bitch????

If you are refering to Vixens litter, The dog i used was brindle you prick. Blue to blue and black to black matings arn't advised but you would have known that bredding the best pups in the country wouldn't you?? Just let me go to the bank lol.

I can't believe the levels people go to sell there pups, quite sad really. As folk with little or no knowledge with get taken in by the advert.

I would never even consider breeding a litter from two blues, seen several and they lacked bone and had very poor coats. Thomas's dog dodge is worked i'm not doubting that, however as mentioned above he lets his dog cover anything as long as he gets paid the stud fee and he lost my respect when he posed photographs on a facebook page of the dog stuck up russel bitch!!.

If you advertise them on gumtree mate i'm sure there will be someone out there who will believe your shite.

This is the photo i'm on about !!

normally if there are whippet x russell pups there either accidental breedings or the sire is the russell that whippet is twice the size of the russell it must of nearly killed it having the pups ffs

i'd love to know how they have come up with these two dogs are the best In the country? There both bags of bones. One gets netted bunnys and fancy pics taken all the time, which be honest who can realy be arsed carrying a big camera around fields while working the dogs, not many unless your plastering them all over the wwf bigging your dog up to make money on stud fee's. As for the other one i've only ever seen the same pics time and time again of the same hare lol. Not one of them would last in my kennel ! and if i was ever to buy a whippet pup again I'd make sure not one of these two where in there ped not even twenty generations back !

these mods on wwf have just mated their said dogs even though he has a litter on at present
Now last year the said mod judged a working whippet show  and the other mods dog did n't get placed by him :hmm:
So by that reckoning there was at least 3 better dogs in the class that were pulled out in front of the "supposedly best dog in the country" :toast:

Ricky can I just ask, have you kept a pup back for yourself ? If the answer is no,then you, wherever you live and whatever you own did it for pound notes which is the wrong reason for any litter.. In respect to the price that's upto you !
