so after a few weeks of the poll being done there were only 19 votes 402 views.

 

the permsion thread i started got 523 views

 

and the ATENTION thread got 169

 

NOW MY POINT IS THIS ALL THE KEEPERS ON HERE MUST HAVE READ THESE TOPICS, AND NOT 1 HAS OFERED ME ANY PERMISION CAN YOU NOW SEE WHY PEOPLE POACH.

 

THE OLD ANSWER YOU GET , WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN COUGHT ON LAND IS , " if you had asked i would have given you permision" FECKING WHAT A LOAD OF OLD BOLLOX.

 

AS THESE THREADS HAVE PROVED. NOT ONE OF YOU HAS EVEN SAID WELL IF YOU WERE CLOSER YOU COULD HAVE COME ON MY BIT.

To gain permission, you must gain the trust and respect of the gamekeeper, qualifications are a bonus added to that.

Not a gamekeeper story as such, but I was out on a bit years ago, I knew the guy who shepherded it, he was my cross country running trainer at primary school so I figured if he came along I would just say hello and take it from there. Sure enough one day he came along on the quad bike and then he saw it was me and he was like "Oh its YOU" and he says to me if youd just have came and asked me I would have given you permission. Now this bit had a clay shoot on it, a rough shoot, a pheasant shoot and was part of an estate, he was just the tenant farmer/shepherd, so I said to him thats bollocks if I came and asked you for permission you would tell me to get lost and after a wee pause to think about it, he was like "yeah your right enough I would have" so I just kept going on and now and then he would catch me, go through his routine speech about not coming back and I would nod and let it go in one ear and out the other. I dont like permission, you have to ask if you can do this and ask if you can do that, and go yes sir no sir three bags full sir, I cant take orders from anyone so I just exercise my right to roam as anyone in Scotland is entitled to do. If your dogs under control and you dont have any illegal quarry on you then they cant do f**k all. I only go looking for rabbits and rats anyway so I am ok

i have taken a few people out that iv met on this site and given them some f****n good sport, the difference between them and you tomo is they went about asking in a better manner than yourself, i mean who is going to replie to "so come on give me some permission" you put nothing down about yourself , what you do, or what you could do in return...... what sort of response would you get if you went onto a publican web site and asked them " come on whos going to give me free drink" answer... the same as you got for your thread on hear... so before you start mouthing off think about how you went about asking!!! but hey im a good guy that lives up in aberdeenshire and if you want to travel a good few hundred miles for a night out next season il show you more rabbits in one night than most of yous see in a season.... thats if you ask really nicley :kiss:

You've obviously got a problem with keepers ,maybe one got you on your own in the woods and gave you a good kicking or you wonted to be a keeper but you were to lazy and shite ill give you permission if you come and rub cream on my hemorrhoid's :whistle: Edited May 12, 2007 by ragumup

How I see it is nikey, them keepers you talk about are basically f*****g cowards....there not all bad....hope they get what they deserve...for a few poxy rabbits...they must of been bored...

Earlier this afternoon i was going about my normal buisness when a gang of about 15-20chavs came bounding down the footpath requesting i took them to thw owner. I said i was one of the keepers and they noticed a trap tunnel and began to talk about it (MUST BE THEM WHO WHERE SETTING THEM OF ) Anyway they began to say could they come down and bring there dogs n guns etc. I said what ive bin told to say which was no beacuse we already had people inluding myself doing it all They then buggered off and told me they would be back! As it was only me a little 17 year old i did not want to get into a fight or nuffen I then went and told the owner of all the land who is going to watching when im not about.... i also rang my mate who does all the wooldnad manegmant who was away up north he said he was going to bring his gun down when he gets back and where going to wait for them.

 

If these people approched me with a polite and social maner insted of shouting,swearing, drinking etc i might of considered them helping out
