The Poachers Rest Show.

Really going to try to make the effort to get to this one, keep meaning too but such a long way.

You can book a cabin or static at the show i think Moll and it's got all mod cons,camping aloud as well pre booked i think.Cafe and bar on site and the raffle ain't to bad either :laugh: .

you can just turn up and camp bit i think statstic and cabin is prebooked

Thats right the motels must be pre booked but be quick as they are going fast.

For camping just turn up on the day and pitch.

There is also electric hook ups if needed.

On site cafe,bar,shower blocks.

There is a pub 2 mins round the corner that are putting a band on for us on the saturday night befor the show.

Good craic had in there with the beers going down well...was packed last year.

Fancied this one for a few years now and never made it yet... (one day Paul, one day..!)

 

Just wanted to post what a crackin ad for a show (the one above), thats how any show should be advertised... :yes:

WENT TO THIS SHOW LAST FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST YEAR MUST SAY IT WAS A GREAT DAY. A LOT OF DOGS. ILE BE COMING AGAIN THIS YEAR. :toast:

Wish i could, would love a little holiday, but unless they allow 50ish hens, canaries, and several dogs in one of their cabins there is no way i can spend nights away from home :D

Thankfully it does not start too early so may make it there and back in one day :thumbs:

hello, i dont think i will be there but i have lurcher and its a real nice dog but he has a kink in his tail. a few people think it will be still ok to show him but i never have, what do use think will this affect him?

      Unfortunately this will be the last one, as the East of England ground have decided its no longer profitable
      and will not be continuing after this year with the Autumn show, so hope people will come along and show their support.
       
       
      Sunday 8th October
       
      At:
       
      East of England Showground
      Peterborough
      PE2 6XE
       
      Simulated Coursing for Lurchers, followed by Straight Racing Overs and Unders for Lurchers, and Whippet and Terrier Racing.
       
      Booking in from 8.00am
       
       
      Open Showing from approx 12.30 with classes for Lurchers and Terriers will be back again this year, with rosettes and trophies.
       
       
      (The day will also feature the British Supreme Lurcher Championship organised by Pat Quant at 10.30am)
       
      There'll also be Long Jump and other things to keep you occupied all day!
       
      Stalls, food etc too.
       
      A good fun day out, well run, and all profits go to support Lurcher Link - lurcher specialist rescue.
