You say your pals dog is 13 months old, now I used to think about " rules" when it came to seasons and dogs but now IMHO with a young dogs I say f**k the rule book.

With young dogs there are no rules, just keep getting them kills as easy as you can.

I agree with you on that mate thats how i got my dog going , easy summer rabbits are great for dogs confidence , tbh he is out quite a bit on wasteland with him getting the easy catches but i wont do as much on my land with him cause i dont want to kill it off , unless asked by owner or my mrs doing my head in lol
