Lanber Shotguns

Recommended Posts

Hi folks ,waiting for my sgc to come through, had a trip to a local gunshop this morning to have a look at whats out there as a first timer,Looking for a budget gun o/u or semi auto, looked at allsorts but come across Lanber, what is peoples thoughts on these as a make, quality, accuracy, reliability etc etc.

I know they are cheap compared to all the others, but as a beginner and due to work etc it probably wont get worked very hard, and the fact im not loaded will they be suitable?

Also looked at Escort semi auto ???

All thoughts,and experiences appreciated

I've got a Lanber 28" multi choke, like you it was my first gun and to be honest my only gun.

I do allsorts with it (clay, game, pigeon etc) and I can't fault it. Yes you can go out and spend umpteen pounds on better guns but for your money you can't go wrong. It's steel shot proofed and chabered for 3" so it covers most areas really.

I was toying with the idea of getting a Hatsan semi to go with it but I decided that my trusty Lanber was good enough.

Another good thing is from what I hear they also hold their price pretty well so if you did want to get a more expensive gun in the future you won't lose too much.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Dave

Hello! I've picked up a Lanber a few days ago, and it looks to be a good quality gun, despite being second hand, that's the only info I can give on that. But I do have a Escort Semi-Auto. It's tempermental, and some cartridges work, and others will repeatedly jam. Stock was a bit loose amongst other small details, but again, it was second hand. Might be better to look for a better quality and build semi if you can afford it!

The Lanber is a great first time gun, so people I know bought one and still shoot it after many years I wouldnt hesitate in owning one, which is more than I can say for the Hatsan, they're cheap for a reason,if it's a semi your after by a second hand Benelli, beretta Winchester etc.
