think it depends on trainer, when i owned track dogs some trainers just stuck to red mills complete feed and switched to oz formula when trying with a dog

others fed a meat and veg stew with the dry food.

others included raw meat if the dog is working hard just to give it that bit extra

Loads of modern supplements to add into the diets also

I'd be more concerned with providing the dogs with a good quality feed rather than supplements.

When I ran dogs on the flaps they were fed a mix of raw meat, veg, brown bread and some complete food.

Feeding is only one part of getting the dogs in good order, excersize and rest are also important.
