who is breeding the best dogs these days

hello to all, if i said who is breeding the best dogs and what i mean from that is a breeder who produces pups of a good quality to the public whos dogs are consistantly good perhaps out of a strain the kind of dog im on about will do all aspects of hunting day and night, i dont mean specialist dogs like the saluki x althoe my hat goes off to the guys that breed these as they seem to be getting good results, i know nothing of this type but if i wanted one i could find a pup easy thats out of good stock pedigree ect if the ads i read are true. but what about your common garden lurcher, who is at the top now who has taken over from minshaw,david james and the like. i would be interested in your veiws

The good lurcher breeders are the ones who breed to replace old or injured stock,from tried and tested parents,they,ve little interest in making a name for themselves,don,t pretend they,ve the best dogs in the world and have little to prove to anyone.They most likely won,t be found on here.

think u might have a hard time geting anywhere with this topic becouse everybody that knows anything and a fair few that dont will clame to breed the best the way i look at it is if the dogs in your kennels please you thats all that matters ...............

Like i said a person who breeds dogs that are from a strain from chosen dogs and bitches not a puppy peddler but a decent breeder with confidence in his off spring,like i said there is many good saluki types and finding one would be pretty strait forward this is my point what about your lurcher types of old im sure there is some decent lads on here and i know many people have good breeding wich they share with freinds ect but thats not what i asked

u can never beat a dog that does your job lot of good dog dont need to be proved to any one only the owner its not all about money some dog men would not sell there dog for any money its about what u got does your job and u and your dog suit

The thing about the Sal/Gh there mainly bred for one thing (Mainly before you all start), So people/fellahs have beening keeping a handy sort for that,

 

 

But when it comes to lurcherxlurcher MY alround do might not be yours hence why you might add Bull or Sal bit more Collie/Beddy for ferreting ect ect you can see where iam going with this.........

 

 

 

One mans line might not suit the next mans hence why theres LOADS of diffrent of x's to try (hopefully) suit the work the choose to do.

 

So the anwser to the qestion is no one,

most try to bred to suit them forn the quarry and land the hunt ect which will be total diffirent to the next mans line
