I do not know if DNA would tell you if it was a pure peregrine or not.

I know a falconer who was flying a pure Barbary falcon which flew around 25 oz's. personaly its not the flying weight I would be worried about and more of her top aviary weight or penning weight. some people feel the need to have their birds sharper than needed, others may fly the same bird alot higher depending on its condition. what was her top aviary weight?

It sounds a female to me to be honest Barky, I wouldn't think many Pere x Barbary tiercels top out at 1lb 8 let alone fly at that weight. if you are still worried about it there are a few places that can DNA sex the bird for you on the internet

thanks for the replys guys, shes been in the aviary for a while so il get her out later or tomorrow and see what she weighs (fat weight). The reason i need to know for sure is she was brought for breeding and dont want to put a male in if she is a male lol
