Wanted Please Take me under your wing

Hello all

 

I am trying to get back into pigeon shooting and have started knocking on doors to get that going or driving to Essex (140 mile round trip) to shoot with my brother. however I would also really like to try other forms of fieldsports having never done anything other than shooting pigeons, bunnies (fifeteen years ago) and clays.

 

So if there is anyone in surrey or not a million miles away, who wouldn't mind having me tag along on any shoots whether its rough/wildfowling/lamping or ferreting anything I really don't mind.

 

I would just like to get a taste of it all but I lack the knowledge and connections.

 

I work shifts, so its not a problem if its during the week.

 

all I can offer in return is my company, stupid questions and maybe a pint. I do have my sgc, insurance if that helps and I am keen.

 

I am a 34 year old ex marine now police officer (thats most of my chances gone) not some wanna be john rambo.

Hi Jim,

 

I'm a bit of a trek from you in N Bucks (but not as far as Essex I think), but as the weather gets colder, pigeons will be hitting the rape on my permissions and you're welcome to join me for a blatt at them.

I can offer other field sports too - lamping, airgunning, spot of inland wildfowling etc.

 

If you don't find something closer to home, feel free to drop me a pm and I'll try to accomodate you.

I'm sure I said hello to you mate on Pigeon watch and about getting down to Headley for the Clays with us mate.

we meet up with Steved and a few others at the tea hut last weekend.

 

I'm up the road from you in Sutton Surrey and run a small friendly syndicate (another story) as said and I'm sure I offered you mate a shoot with us / me and son on our land

once I fix my motor this week end. After that if you up for lamping or weekend no problem.
