Deer shooting

Just acquired the job as a deer keeper, albeit captivated but still need to be managed all the same. Although I've just got the keepers job I have been helping the old keeper manage the deer for some time now with seasonal culls. As the case has arisen this year the numbers to be culled outway the requirements of my friends and family.

So heres the chance if theres anyone fancying a go at shooting their 1st deer. I say 1st deer because with them being captivated its not a stalk as such, yes they are in fields and a mini type stalk is required to get in position for the shot. This is for the would be stalkers to help you on your way into the big world of proper stalking.

I must stress as for now this offer is only open to sgc & fac holders ( NO cert NO shoot)

Red deer & fallow deer available

Equipment on site to process the carcass

Rifle available on request

Accomodation available on request

Nights lamping foxes/rabbits available on request

Mid coastal Wales

PM for more details

Thanks Raynardman

There isnt one, not a realistic one anyway, Maybe darting and then injection by a vet and then the carcass disposed of by incineration. The owners /landowners have a legal responsibility for their

As such? You mean not a stalk AT ALL,they might as well shoot a cow, seriously you might as well stick a cow in a field, anyone can shoot/slaughter one of those deer,at least give the "Hunters" who take you up on your offer bragging-rights because not everyones shot a Fresian  The americans who do these sort of canned hunts at least have the decency to shoot on acreages in their 1000's or 10's of 1000's,how large an enclosure are these semi-domesticated deer in?What an offer :bad:

Cut out the travel and offer online shooting as this enterprising "gentleman" did, read the definition of canned-hunt,your actually doing the animals a dis-service by trying to gloss it up,and giving the pretence its a hunt, the animals have no chance whatsoever,no matter how slim, what is for the encore,a day killing pigs at an abbatoire

In 2005, internet hunting became a major news story when a man in Texas set up a webcam and remotely controlled gun to allow hunters to shoot from their computers. According the Humane Society, most internet hunts involve game ranches where animals are kept penned, making them essentially canned hunts

Haha another knobhead to the list many that frequent this site.

I know i shouldn't lower myself to the likes of you but hey....

You want to send your crystal ball back cos you've got the wrong picture

Come and walk the hills with me, bet i leave you standing like most of the lads that come, i do my lamping on foot and not from my landy (L200) never have done never will do.

The offers there, people can take it or leave it, i wont lose sleep over it, and thats why i said sgc & fac holders so as not to get the likes of you.

think I'll go and buy a pet rabbit, put it in a nest box and then ferret it out of the nest box and break it's neck, can't beat a bit of hunting!

FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and people are saying that's a great offer?? seriously!! if the only way you can shoot your prey is by having it captive you need to go and take up another hobby!

As good an analogy as any,how long before someones offering pheasant-shooting,except the birds arent released, they are still in the pen as it makes it just that bit easier  Shooting fish in a barrel springs to mind, and to the guys who think this is a great offer  is it really :hmm: one of those "too good to miss" offers?Hope you drag the downed beast away from the fence, might ruin your photograph and your "stalking" tale if you have to explain the fence in the background :whistling:

Raynardman, you have been very open and stated they are farm/captive deer, deer in parks around the country and farm deer still need keeping in check. For you to offer someone the chance for a 1st deer and carcass preparation, I see nothing wrong with the offer.. The ones complaining, don't waste your time with. If the thread gets derailed, I'll remove the posts that offer nothing...

Pigeon shooting on a small farm between Darlington and Richmond, must be able to go mid week not just weekends, this could be a nice little pigeon shooting permission for the right person, I’ve had some good days here but just can’t get there as often as the owner would like

      Hi all,
My Dad  and I have rented a land in Spain. 30 min from Gibraltar airport. We are looking for 5 hunters to share the expenses. Currently i live in Bristol so what i do is to take weekend flights almost every month so im happy that you to join me.
      The land has:
      3 ibex license sep-january
      8 red deers sep-feb
      12red  deer does
      5 roe deers May- September
      Wildboar all the year
The land also includes house and my father is happy to pick up you at the airport.
The price is £2000 per season/hunter
if you know someone who might be interested give me a ring.
The idea is to share the expenses not to sell a hunt as we are not professional outfitters so we are just looking for fellow hunters who are interested in big game shooting to share the experience.
