Guest Leveller Posted July 4, 2005 Report Share Posted July 4, 2005 Well yesterday we enjoyed a fabulous day out on Dartmoor with The Dartmoor Hawking School of Falconry. I take my hat off to all you guys who own and work these magnificent creatures you really do see the world through different eyes when you let birds into your life. Heres Levs with the first bird we flew I think it was called a Boobock Owl ? This is Mark who taught us for the day with a Gyr/Saker hybrid and I must say how impressed I am that the photographer managed to catch this bird as it was no mean feat jeez it was fast. Guest Leveller Posted July 4, 2005 Report Share Posted July 4, 2005 On to the Hawk walk now introducing Marmite the male Harris Hawk Marmite did make a kill and here he is eating his mouse Levs again Would you believe this great big thing is only about twelve weeks old ??? A big thankyou to the people at Dartmoor Hawking school of falconry we had a top time and I'd reccomend anyone with the slightest intrest in hawks/falcons to get out there and do some we will be going back we're hooked.
